Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?" John 11:25-26How do you answer Jesus' question as recorded in John 11? Do you truly believe that He is the Risen Savior? Do you really believe that if you believe in Him you will never die?
As a follower of Christ, I must guard my heart to not let Easter become "just another Sunday". I must ask the Lord to never let me grow cold to the power of what occurred on that Sunday morning more than 2,000 years ago: History was forever changed. Eternity was forever changed. All by the resurrection of Jesus Christ!
However you, as a Christ-follower, decide to celebrate Easter, please do not grow cold to the magnitude of what happened that morning! As a follower of Christ, I was brought from death to life. I was given eternal life after this Earth and an abundant life while I remain here. I have been given the Holy Spirit to live in me so that I can live in obedience and joy!
Celebrate all the Lord Jesus has done! He is Risen indeed!
