Final Track Day for our Boys!!

It was the track meet that almost didn't happen! It was to be our boys last track meet of the year.....but bad weather was looming. All week long the forecast called for severe thunderstorms on Friday night and all day Saturday (the meets are on Saturdays).

I love these two little words: "But God......"

But God stepped in and allowed the bad weather to get through EARLIER than expected. He created a simply incredible day for us to enjoy. Blue skies. Plenty of sunshine. A cool breeze. And warm temperatures. Perfect!

The meet was about an hour and a half away from our home in Little Rock in a town called Amity. Since it was so far away, only about 1/2 of our team was able to show up. So Josh and Caleb had to run in more events that they "normally" do. In fact, Caleb ran in every race for elementary boys except the 800 and 1600 meters.

Caleb ran in the 4x100 relay, 100, 400, 200, and 4x400 relay. Because there were only two middle school age boys there from our team, Josh was not able run in the relays so he ran in the 100, 400, and 200.

We thank God for a fun year on the Pulaski County Flames Track Team. May our boys run the race set before them with perseverance and purpose!
