The phrase “fear not” appears 365 times in the Bible. Like a daily vitamin, God has provided just what we need to conquer our daily dreads.
Faith in Jesus Christ and the promises of His Word will cause fear to flee. Instead of feeling terrorized, paralyzed, and hypnotized by our fears, faith galvanizes our character with courage. Whey not commit one or more of the following verses to memory?
(1) I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears. Psalm 34:4
(2) When I am afraid, I will trust in You. Psalm 56:3
(3) "Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria and the vast army with him, for there is a greater power with us than with him. With him is only the arm of flesh, but with us is the LORD our God to help us and to fight our battles." And the people gained confidence from what Hezekiah the king of Judah said. 2 Chron. 32:7-8
(4) You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in You. Isaiah 26:3
If you struggle with fear in your marriage and family, take those fears to a God who not only tells you not to fear, but who also gives you reason not to fear. He is the One Who can deliver you from your fears and replace them with peace, comfort, and courage.
