Had some fun with the boys a week or so ago. We went to a retreat center about an hour north of Little Rock called Ozark Conference Center. It is a great place to get-away. No phone. No TV. No Internet. Just lots of woods and wide open spaces and solitude. The boys and I went away so that Shawn and Sarah could have Sarah's Passport2Purity weekend (more on this on our next blog post). You can see Josh shooting her - his air rifle/BB gun as the boys and I picked off some cans that were about 10 yards away!
This was Caleb's first time to shoot the air rifle and he did a good job! Took him some time to figure it out, but was hitting the cans pretty well after getting some practice in!
Here are the boys posing for a "camera shot" after they had used up all our BBs as the wore out the cans over a two-day period!!
And finally a shot of them warming up near the wood-burning stove we had in our cabin! The enjoyed the heat of the stove (as it was cold and rainy for the two days were were there) but enjoyed "incinerating" bugs even more! They certainly drastically reduced the fly population in that area over those two days!
