It is amazing how we grown-ups lose our imagination as we grow older. So often we are so BUSY with the tasks of life that we fail to see the simple yet beautiful things in our everyday lives!
Case in point: My son, Josh, and I were doing some yard work at a friend's house on Friday. As we were cleaning up, Josh saw the holly leaf pictured to the left. I saw a hundred holly leaves - but Josh saw something I did not. He saw with eyes full of imagination. He saw a "dog"!!
Take a closer look. Can you see it? The two ears, the nose, the four feet. If I had taken a different angle, you might have even seen what looks like a tail!! All that in a holly leaf that I would have never seen without Josh.
God has put amazing things in our everyday lives ---- if we would simply take the time to look for them! Our family hopes that you will take time to "stop and smell the roses" each day. No telling what you might find......if you are looking with the eyes of a child full of imagination and wonder!!
