I am not usually one to boast about myself. But when it comes to our kids, now that's another story! We believe that God has uniquely created each of our three kids for a special purpose and plan. So we are going to brag on them because we think God is doing the same thing up in Heaven
Our daughter, Sarah, who is 12, had the opportunity to be part of the Central Arkansas Meet of Champs at UALR (University of Arkansas at Little Rock). This is kind of the "Olympics" for swimming in Central Arkansas. We are so proud of her for the hard work she has done for the last three years: lots of practicing, hard work, and sacrifice. And it has all paid off since she, as one of the top finishers in the Backstroke and Butterfly, was invited to participate last Saturday.
She did awesome. We told her that we are proud of her now matter what the "results" were. But she did her best.....and her best was awesome!! She finished 2nd overall in the Bronze class for Butterfly for 11 and 12 year old girls. She also finished 3rd overall in the Bronze class for Backstroke for 11 and 12 year old girls. She also was 1st place in both her heats!!
We thank God for her God-given ability and hard work. We also thank all the coaches and parents who help on the Maumelle Marlins team!! Go Marlins!!
