As we took time as a family to celebrate JESUS' Birthday on Christmas we were greeted with an
unexpected surprise. Shawn and I and our kids all experienced our first ever "White Christmas" this year! It started with freezing rain and sleet in mid-afternoon and then changed over to all snow later on Christmas day. And it kept on snowing until about 5 or 6am the next day! We had somewhere between 8 and 12 inches in different places in our yard!
The weight of it all broke several limbs in our yard but no trees down - thank the Lord! Our neighbors on both sides lost trees, but by God's grace, neither one of them hit our house or damaged theirs!
In the midst of all the "White Christmas" pictures are also some of us enjoying Christmas day at home as a family! It was fun sitting around opening presents and having a "lazy day"! We are thankful to all our friends and family - God has given THEM to us as the BEST GIFTS ever!
