Our son, Josh, ran in his first 5K race last Saturday! And he did great! By God's grace he finished 4th overall and first in his age group (I think it was 15-19). He was hoping to finish in about 25 minutes but actually finished in just over 20 minutes!
One of his good friends, Sam, ran the race as well (there were actually a lot of his teammates from the Homeschool Cross Country Team running as well). I think they all had a good time and were able to much down afterward on some goodies that were provided by the folks putting on the race.
We praise God for Josh running this race....it was not that long ago when he told us that "he wasn't good a distances" and was not interested in anything longer than a 400 meter track run!
