Who will you follow in 2012?

The following are a few words from our church's lead pastor, Bill Elliff. He preached a great sermon on Sunday January 1st about putting God and His Word first in 2012. Hope you will both enjoy and be challenged by it!!

Everybody follows somebody. Our parents, mentors, teachers, celebrities...we are influenced by others. But who will YOU follow this year?

What if you had the opportunity to follow someone who loved you perfectly? And someone who knew exactly the right path for your life? And also, who knew the end from the beginning and could see the whole year at a glance?

Enter GOD. Why would you follow anyone else when He is perfectly motivated to help you find the right path? If you chose this direction, then you must discover HOW to follow and it all begins with humble listening.

The most amazing thing is that God has given us a guidebook. It is 66 books of information that leads you to Him and into "all the right paths for His Name's sake." It's called the Bible and if you don't have one, ask me and I'll give you a brand new one for 2012.

Why would I make such an offer? Because you are valuable. Your life matters and being on the right path with Christ makes all the difference for you and everyone whose life you touch this year.

Make a commitment TODAY to follow hard after Him. You'll never regret it!
