Dennis Rainey has been used by God to do much in building Godly marriages and families! He is RIGHT ON again with this tribute to our veterans on Veteran's Day! Enjoy!
On behalf of the leadership and staff here at FamilyLife, I would like to say thank you…thank you to our heroes among us who have served honorably and courageously in our armed forces, thank you to the wives and husbands, moms and dads, and family members who have sacrificed to support the military man or woman in their life.
Last week we:
-Casted our ballots,
-Attended churches,
-Read the news,
-Came to work at jobs we chose,
-Shared our faith openly,
-Read our Bibles,
-Slept in homes and beds in relative safety,
-Chose how to spend our time, our money, our energy, and spend our words, our faith, and our lives.
As a ministry, last week we:
-proclaimed the gospel to thousands in ballrooms across this nation,
-shared the word of God to millions across the airwaves,
-entered into thousands of homes with articles filled with truth,
-mentored hundreds of hurting people,
-gathered as a staff to pray,
-engaged in work to see the gospel of Christ advanced, the family strengthened and the world changed.
To these and the countless blessing I haven’t space to write and even more I haven’t thought of… THANK YOU! Thank you to you who have served and offered your lives to secure and defend our freedoms! Thank you to you who have loved ones who are serving. Thanks to you who have sacrificed so that we all may serve the Lord in an incredible country. We are honored by your presence among us and pray you are honored today for your sacrifice!
Let the rest of us be sure to thank God and pray today for these men and women, pray for soldiers on tours abroad, and pray for our leaders in government. And let us take a moment to thank our veterans among us! May God bless the heroes who serve with us here on Veterans Day!
