Our 12 year-old daughter, Sarah, will be heading out on her first mission trip this weekend - spending 8 days in Oklahoma doing "backyard bible clubs" and "neighborhood outreach events" to kids and their parents there. We are so excited for her and the team of kids that are going from the church we attend!
What is so DIFFERENT about this mission trip is that it is "kid-led" - not "adult-led". The kids do all the talking and work while the adult leaders offer advice and encouragement. The kids that are going from our church have gone through a year long program and have done a more intense program for the last 8 weeks in preparation!
PRAYER REQUESTS: (1) Please pray for the kids to grow in their relationship with Jesus during the trip, (2) see God working as they serve and share the Gospel with these kids and their parents, and (3) for safety on the trip and protection from sickness for the kids and adult leaders.
