What DO you do with all those leaves???

Aaahh!! The joys of the season!! Raking leaves! Now you may not thinking raking leaves is one of the "joys" of the season but it is at our house (or it is a least some of the time!! :)

The boys and I began our backyard leaf raking ritual a few days ago. We take three Saturdays to rake leaves in our backyard --- so that the task is not TOO overwhelming for any of us for one day. We bagged up 16 large bags on our first round and will probably do that many again on our next round.

And although the leaf raking is hard at times and we get cold at times, there is "FUN" to be had during the work time as you can see in this next picture!

The boys make one huge pile and began jumping and burying one another in it. This seemed to go on for a long time but they didn't want to stop. We finally HAD to pick up the pile since it was about to rain and we had to close up ROUND #1 with our back yard leaves.

For those of you that still have leaves, take some time and make some family fun and memories out of this "chore". If we are to make lemonade when we get lemons they I guess we are to make "leafade" when we get leaves!!
